Shelby Olive is a singer/songwriter who calls Northeast Ohio "home."

She released her debut album, Make Sound, in February of 2018 and followed it up with her sophomore EP, Bad for Me, in June 2019.

With just her ukulele and voice, Shelby started creating music at 13 years old.

Since then, she's found an authentic sound for herself in the indie pop/rock world. She has a blend of musical theatre roots, classical training, jazz exploration, and pop influences. Her accomplishments include winning the Akron High Arts Festival in 2017 and finishing as the runner-up the next year.

Shelby holds a BA degree from Kent State University in Music Education and is currently the K-5 general music teacher at Silver Lake Elementary and Preston Elementary in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Olive was a singer in the Nova Jazz Singers, the top vocal jazz ensemble at Kent State University, from 2013-2017. She was the vocalist of the Kent State University Jazz Orchestra from 2015-2017.
